About the fund
The Atsma Family Fonds (Atsma Family Fund) was founded by the Atsma family. The fund has two objectives. On the one hand, the fund focuses on helping individuals and groups to participate optimally and in their own way in Dutch society. The fund does this by supporting research, education, and activities. The emphasis is on stimulating self-reliance, resilience, and self-development.
The fund also awards scholarships to low-income students to study at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS). The ISS is part of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
