Erasmus Fund for Entrepreneurship in Africa

About the fund

The Erasmus Fund for Entrepreneurship in Africa supports multi-annual partnerships to co-create entrepreneurship education curricula, train educators and build partnerships. The aim of the fund is to enable higher education institutions to transition from training young people to be job seekers to become job creators. Projects under the fund are implemented by Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE) in collaboration with local partners, entrepreneurs and academic communities. The fund was established in 2026 by ECE and entrepreneur and EUR-alumnus Sjoerd van Berkel, as a “coalition of the willing”: a growing community of entrepreneurs, alumni, investors, researchers, and other partners who believe in entrepreneurship as a driving force for sustainable and inclusive economic development.
