Erasmus Medical Breakthrough Fund

About the fund

Doctors and scientific researchers work every day to improve patient care. Can existing drugs have a role in treating other diseases, can we improve surgical procedures with new techniques, or what is the relationship between nutrition and cancer? These are questions our scientific researchers try to find answers to.

The Erasmus Medical Breakthrough Fund aims to bridge the gap between science and practice. The fund therefore supports promising Erasmus MC medical innovations –in collaboration with TU Delft – which are still in the research phase, but can eventually be brought to market. Whether it concerns new therapies, improved medical techniques, or care innovations, medical scientific research at Erasmus MC is an important driving force behind numerous innovations in medical care.
