About the fund
The D.P. Hoijer Fonds (D.P. Hoijer Fund) supports research, education, events, projects, and initiatives in the field of global healthcare. Global healthcare includes, for example, improving health, living conditions, and health systems. But it is also about reducing disparities in health and access to healthcare within and between countries.
This may include:
- Establishing special chairs or attracting guest lecturers, PHD candidates, or postdocs,
- The organisation of the subject and any centres, networks, platforms, etc. (yet to be) established,
- Projects in other, preferably African, countries in which knowledge, tools, insights, time, and commitment and methodologies are made available by the Erasmus University Rotterdam as part of its Global Health programme, and
- Awarding prizes
