The Hoijerik Fund supports research and activities that address a possible link between the herpes simplex virus and the immune system. In addition, the fund supports research into biomarkers for cervical cancer. A biomarker is measurable in the body and provides information about a person’s health. This could include, for example, enzymes in the blood.
